Atlantic Villa located on Valentia Island Co Kerry Ireland, is a spacious period residence built in 1873, overlooking the sea. It is situated in the heart of the village of Knightstown yet secluded within in its own private gardens. The house was built for the cable master at the time of the trans Atlantic cable that was laid from Valentia Island to Hearts Content, Newfoundland, Canada. It has 6 bedrooms all en-suite, open fire places, and a sauna.

Valentia Island is located close to world class golf courses. Conveniently located for touring the ring of Kerry. Check out the attractions section on our site for more details such as angling, horse riding or water sports.
How to get here: Driving from Killorglin From the Town of Killorglin, continue on the Ring of Kerry, through Glenbeigh, Kells and Caherciveen. Outside the town of Caherciveen you will see a petrol station and supermarket on the right. This is the last place to stop for good shopping before you reach Valentia. Continue past the petrol station to the top of the hill and you will see a sign for Valentia ferry, turn right follow the road to the harbour and the ferry leaves every 15 minutes. Last ferry at 10pm. When you leave the ferry turn right, left at the town clock, up the hill and turn right down the lane way to the Fuschia restaurant. The second house is Atlantic Villa. If the ferry is not running you can take the bridge. Do not take the turn for the ferry but continue on for about 2K you will go over a small stone bridge and on your right you will see a sign for Valentia. Follow the road till you see the bridge over to Valentia. Continue on through the village of Chapel Town and on to Knightstown and take a left at the Fuschia restaurant.
